Recensione Nikon AF 16mm f/2.8 D Fisheye Usato
The Nikon AF 16mm f/2.8 D is a fisheye lens suitable for both FF and APSC cameras in production since 1993. Focusing occurs via the reflex motor (automatic) and there is no image stabilization. The shooting angle is 180 degrees (peculiarity of fisheyes) and the minimum focusing distance is 25 centimetres. The lens hood is integrated into the lens, the cap could be uncomfortable and unstable. The dimensions and weight are quite small, giving comfort and practicality during use. The workmanship and materials are excellent, which gives good resistance and durability. The images taken are of excellent quality, good sharpness even at full aperture and chromatic aberrations not excessively pronounced. The distortions are highly controllable and do not affect the final quality of the shot. At RT it could be ineffective on the edges, which is almost completely eliminated reaching 5.6.
The Nikon AF 16mm f/2.8 D Fisheye is one of those lenses suitable for a particular genre, it is not essential in a photographic kit but it could be a good way to experiment and appreciate all its qualities. It can be used without distinction by both professionals and amateurs, who are looking for a good fisheye with a good quality/price ratio. The cost when new is adequate for the quality, there is the possibility of finding it for sale used thus managing to obtain a good economic saving.
