The Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR is a telephoto lens suitable for APSC and FF format cameras produced since 2016 by the Japanese company. Focusing is automatic and occurs via an ultrasonic AF motor which is efficient and precise, and there is also image stabilization. The shooting width varies from 34.4 to 12.4 degrees based on the focal length used and the minimum focusing distance is 1.10 metres, in line with other telephoto lenses. The lens hood is supplied, the dimensions and weight may be excessive but all in all they are within the limits of similar lenses. The workmanship is considerable, giving resistance and durability to the support. The images taken are very sharp and the colors are extremely vibrant, at 5.6 the sharpness increases significantly. There are essentially no defects to mention, the autofocus is extremely fast and precise and guarantees perfect focus on the subject with an excellent blur effect.
The Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR is a high-end lens, suitable for professional photographers looking for a telephoto lens capable of delivering almost perfect images. The cost is limiting, it could be seen as a deterrent to purchasing but considering that it is indicated for a certain segment of customers it does not appear to be a real problem. It can be seen as an excellent investment to increase your kit with a high-performance lens.
