As if that were not enough, the autofocus can be set to follow a specific color, making the photographer's work not only satisfactory but also quick. The Nikon D3 is equipped with two slots that can accommodate two different memory cards. The captured images can be inserted in the chosen card, but it is also possible to create an exact copy of the SD that contains the files. Another gem that stimulates the fantasies of the most demanding is the battery autonomy, which in this case exceeds by 40% that of the D2 versions. The commands are arranged on the back of the appliance and the main functions are immediately displayed on the display. Thanks to the presence of a VD4 sensor, it is possible to monitor the activity of the reflex via PC. This feature grants any operator to keep up to 5 devices under control at the same time, so as to optimize the work both from a temporal and qualitative point of view. As far as the sensitivity factor is concerned, it ranges from 200 to 6400 nominal ISOs, however, extendable up to 100-25,600. Ideal for: Nikon D3 is ideal for professional use, also as a third body. However, it must be said that the best shots are obtained by keeping the sensitivity between 800 and 4500 ISO.
