Recensione Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75mm f/1.8 Usato
The Zuiko Digital lens ED 75mm F-8 of Olympus opens the way to the micro four third lenses. As you can expect from a good first optics, it behaves well without distortions and without problems with chromatic aberrations, regardless of the setting of the diaphragm. It has some maximum opening vignetting f/1.8 and shadow of 0.7ev, a detail that can safely be rectified in post production. With F/2.8 Stop the vignetting, on the other hand, is no longer a problem. The lens offers excellent sharpness, so much so as to make it among the most sharp of the lenses micro four thirds.
It is particularly suitable for photos-traits or poor lighting, thanks to its sharpness and possible settings with a maximum opening f/1.8, where the image is perfectly clear in the center and softens towards the edges. At Stop f/2.8 the sharpness is excellent and homogeneous throughout the frame, while the optimal sharpness is reached to f/5.6 and is reduced to f/11 and f/22.
Although it offers fast telephoto lengths, the 75mm f/1.8 is mainly used for portraits, especially thanks to its shorter focal length, where this shots is also possible where it is not possible to perform those 2 or 3 steps more backwards. It is a fairly light lens compared to the average.
It can be used on micro four third thirds Olympus and Panasonic, excellent choice for portraits, sports, shots in low light conditions. The price is certainly not cheap, but every penny is spent and the spells are included. For anyone who is looking for better results and sharpness that a micro four third lens have to offer, then you are ready to pay it until the last penny.
