The Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 II ASPH is a standard prime lens suitable for 4/3 format cameras manufactured since 2013. Focusing is automatic and occurs via a non-ultrasonic AF motor, image stabilization is not present. The shooting angle is 56.3 degrees and the minimum focusing distance is 20 centimetres. The lens hood is sold separately, dimensions and weight are extremely small, making it very comfortable and suitable for long-lasting sessions. The materials and subsequent construction are of excellent quality giving it high resistance and good durability. The images are characterized by excellent sharpness, a pleasant depth of field, faithful and lively colors and a respectable blur that does not become annoying, furthermore the 1.7 aperture gives a lot of light to the photos. No significant image defects were found but only some inaccuracies in the AF, furthermore there could be some difficulty in inserting the apertures from 4 onwards due to a slowdown of the blades.
The Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 II ASPH is a lens suitable for photographers looking for a lens with good performance, which is extremely practical and can be used without unbalancing the camera in the slightest. The cost when new is already in itself a good compromise with an excellent quality/price ratio but if you want to save money there is a considerable possibility of finding it used. With this ultra-compact support you can increase your kit without spending exorbitant amounts.
