The Sigma 12-24mm f/4 DG HSM Art is a wide-angle lens suitable for APSC and FF format cameras, produced since 2016. Focusing is automatic and occurs via an ultrasonic AF motor, image stabilization is not present . The shooting angle varies based on the focal length used and we find: 122 degrees with the 12mm focal length and 84.1 degrees with a 24mm focal length. It is a very wide lens, its width is one of the largest in this category. The minimum focusing distance is 24 centimeters and the lens hood is built-in and cannot be removed. The weight and dimensions are above average and can be disabling with prolonged use. The materials are of good quality, capable of giving resistance and robustness to the lens. The images taken with this lens are very sharp and have faithful colors. On the edges the sharpness is lacking and the distortion is practically absent at any focal length. Any aberrations are not such as to be considered disabling, and focusing is fast and silent. Flare is minimal even in extreme light conditions.

The cost could be the real limit for this lens, the Art series is one of the least economical, if you want to save money there is the possibility of finding it used at a good price.
