Recensione Tokina AT-X 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 DX Fish-eye Usato
In production since 2011, the Tokina AT-X 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 DX Fish-eye is a fisheye lens ideal for APS-C format cameras. The main characteristics of this product are found in the absence of image stabilization and in the focusing which occurs via the non-ultrasonic AF motor. This should not lead you to think that performance is penalized as the quality of the images obtained through this lens is truly excellent.
Made with materials that simultaneously ensure compactness, lightness and sturdiness so that it can be transported with extreme ease. Precisely as regards the construction, it is made up of 10 lenses which are grouped into 8 different groups. It presents itself as a very versatile lens, which can be used in any context and which ensures good focus from a minimum distance of just 14 centimetres.
From a performance point of view, however, even if overall we cannot complain, it must be noted that the sharpness of the images tends to be penalized as soon as the focal distance is increased; this may actually represent a contradiction since we are talking about a wide-angle lens that must provide depth to the images, which cannot have blurry edges.
In any case, it is a product that represents a good compromise between the needs of photographers to have a lens that they can use at any time without incurring excessive purchase costs.
